Childrens Exercise in the 21st
Century
What was one of the first things you
remember naturally loving to do as a child?
For many people the answer is simple
they loved to jump up and down. As children,
we often went into happy fits of literally
jumping for joy!. Children instinctively
bounce on beds, sofas and any springy surface
they find welcoming delighting in
the rhythmical rebounding motion that propels
them onward, upward and forward!
A child naturally knows what makes them
feel good both physically and emotionally.
Children instinctively know that the body
needs aerobic exercise, except they do not
call it exercise, they call it playing.
Poor diet, TV and computers are too often
blamed for the epidemic that the world is
facing in todays society and focus
now needs to be heightened on increasing
childrens activity levels to prevent
our children becoming the Obese Generation.
Children are like adults, physical activity
needs a GOAL and when children are asked
what their goal is it may range from wanting
to look good like their favourite pop star,
to losing weight typically in girls, and
competition and achievement typically in
boys. Most of all, physical activity has
to be FUN.
The activity of Urban Rebounding is fun
and it has incredibly practical results
when done regularly.
Urban
Rebounding and How it Works?
The Urban Rebounding programme is a
safe, effective style of aerobics that provides
a surprisingly challenging cardiovascular
workout without excess stress on the heart,
muscles and joints so is suitable for all
fitness levels and ages. It is extremely
good fun and puts smiles on faces!
It uses familiar aerobic moves, sports
specific conditioning moves and core stabilization
techniques to ensure a full body workout.
Urban Rebounding is performed entirely
on a unique, high quality, spring-enhanced
mini-trampoline with a non-slip surface.
The exercise is accomplished by jumping
only a few inches off the surface of the
rebounder and absorbs 87% of the shock of
impact versus doing the same exercises on
a hardwood floor, reducing incidences of
injury and joint damage. Research by NASA
proves that rebounding is 68% more effective
than jogging.
There are three natural forces: gravity,
acceleration and deceleration. The purpose
of rebounding is to line up acceleration
and deceleration with gravity creating G-Force.
The increase in G-Force is what gives you
all the benefits of rebounding. Every cell
in the body feels this increase and the
cells respond to being placed in this environment
causing them to adapt and become stronger.
Research into rebounding has proven the
many health benefits from this form of exercise,
including; burning 100s of calories,
stimulating lymphatic drainage, improving
the immune system, improving posture and
reducing body fat.
